I'm not sure if there is an exact standardized test at this point. However, there are several manuals published by the EPA (almost historical) that provide methods for algal assays, including those conducted with the marine algae Dunaliella Tertiolecta.

If I remember properly, there are provisions for toxicity testing in some of these manuals, even if it wasn't the main focus.

SAMPLE:
EPA, Environmental Protection Agency (1974) Marine algal assay procedure bottle test. Corvallis, Oregon 97330, pp.43.

You can probably view these documents online and even obtain copies of them at the EPA web site.

There are additional resources on the web if you search for DUNALIELLA TERTIOLECTA MARINE ALGAL ASSAY.

Good luck with it.

James
